After a while she told herself that she couldn't be weak she had to push back her normal self because this was a battle and you can't be soft because then people will get you. She wasn't about to go through what her brother did and she wasn't about to leave her younger brother to feel the same thing that she was feeling. Imagining the same stuff that she was... her brother's death or in her younger brother's case his older sister's death. Just the thought made her grit her teeth, shake her head, and moved forward further. She wouldn't allow herself to let anything get to her. It wasn't important, not right now at least. Her finger messed with the trigger on the control stick of the plane. While both hands had previously been on the control stick one hand moved to flick a button. Her palms sweaty, her mind traveling to the thought of her brother as flicked the button then returned the hand to the control stick. Her eyes stung and she held her breath as she pressed the trigger. A whizzing noise then an explosion as she shot a single mech. Then again and again and then it fell from the sky. There was a slight pain in her heart as the mech fell. Her hands shook slightly until she adjusted her hands on the control stick, inhaling deeply she open her eyes feeling a single tear roll down her cheek.
Shaking her head to make the tear fall off her face she looked around, dipping down quite a bit, just enough so she could see the ground fairly well. Where was Benjamin? Was he alright, what about Zechariah? What about the other on her team? Catrina sucked in another breath and she felt like she was just choking. It was then that BANG! someone went down. Another red haired male whom of which stood at a stunning height of 6'2", it was Catrina's brother. Things moved in slow motion as she practically felt what her brother felt, he dropped his weapon, and his body fell to the ground. This wasn't where he died though, not actually or at least that's not what her parent's were told. Shaking her head she looked away, gripping the control stick tightly in her hands. Pulling the control back towards her she looked forward, noticing someone getting way to close to comfort. More whizzing noises and another mech went down, this happened quite a few other times. She could have totally ran into that mech and then it could just be over for her.
Another whizzing noise, then another, and another then yet another mech fell from the sky. She pulled the control stick further back, pulling this huge piece of metal further up in to the sky. She never felt like her brother was truly dead even though he was and just that thought made her angry. No burial of her brother, no way of saying good bye, his body had never been found it just left her so confused. Pushing the horrible thought away she just focused on the now. No matter what she thought she saw it wasn't true and she had a job to do. That was important now. She kept a serious face as she took down yet another mech. Gasping softly when something whizzed straight by her. She after a couple other whizzing noises the same mech who had shot at her was falling straight to the ground. Well wasn't she just lucky right now? Maybe her brother was watching over her or maybe she was just lucky... for now.
