"What could I possibly say that has not been said already? I will try though."

She knew it.

She didn't want to believe it, but it was true. Kaede was dead. The little girl was dead, and there was nothing Asuka could do to bring her back. She couldn't focus, her eyes becoming increasingly blurred as the tears continued to fall. She hated this feeling, this feeling of being weak. She couldn't protect her friends, the ones who she had come to love over the last two years, and it was slowly killing her. She didn't hear a word Rosenkreuz spoke, and caught perhaps the last of it. He said it was his fault, that Haruka an Kaede's deaths were his fault. Haruka's, she couldn't say for certain. She had died of the poison in her system from the dagger, not by Rosenkreuz's hands, and as for Kaede...

She couldn't say for sure if that was true or not. She was not present for the situation, and she couldn't say if it truly was his fault or not. Part of her, the part of her that had wanted to forgive Rosenkreuz for his transgressions against her, against the school, wanted to still forgive him for it. But there was another part of her, a part that terrified her still. It wanted nothing more than to see the one responsible for everything to die. And she wished death upon no one. Instead, she did the only thing she could. She fell to her knee's, face buried in her hands, and she cried. She cried until she felt the tears come no longer, and Snow rested upon her shoulder.

Part of her wanted to go to Sora, to find him and do something for him. But she couldn't. Her feet, her body felt as if it were made of stone and she found herself rooted to the floor. She could feel the air around her chill, the rain falling around her, mixing with her tears as she tried to keep her ability under control. It proved almost useless as tiny balls of hail fell around her, one hitting her hand slightly. She picked it up, stared at it for a moment before crushing it in her hand. She pushed herself up, forcing herself to stand on weakened knees. The rain would wash away the scent of blood, so there was no need to clean it up. She tilted her head up towards the rain, allowing it to caress her face.

She couldn't smell Sora, nor Kaede. He left. He left with her, and a small bout of fear crept up inside of Asuka. Why would he leave like that? Shouldn't he have come to her, or to Sachiko? Shouldn't he have...she paused in her train of thoughts, banishing them away. He had every right to leave. Who was she to think otherwise? She was no one but the person who loved him. And for a split second, she wondered if he truly loved her back. She shook the thought from her head as she closed her eyes, allowing the rain to wash her tears away. Snow merely glanced upon his master with saddened eyes.

The next day, Asuka found herself in the music room, neglecting her duties as a prefect. She didn't care, she just wanted to find solace. And the music room was always where she found it. In the confines of her own music. As such, she pulled the violin from its case, her jade eyes scanning over it as she adjusted the strings slowly. He had not spoken a word to anyone, and a part of Asuka's heart hurt. It hurt because she knew, to some degree, how he felt. Though she couldn't say the pain of losing some like Kaede, a child no less, was something she knew, she did, however, know the pain of losing someone. She lost her uncle, her cousin, her friend, and now Kaede. Kaede was as much her friend as she was to anyone else who knew her.

She sighed, taking a deep breath afterwards, and placed the violin underneath her chin. She drew the bow string across the violin, listening as the sound purred from it. Once she was satisfied, she began playing a melody she played once before, a very long time ago. She allowed it to consume her, the melody, and before she knew it, the scent of Sachiko entered her senses. She could smell the salt-like scent coming from the girl, and she could only surmise that Sachiko had still been weeping for Kaede, however; when Sachiko spoke, it was not for Kaede, but for Sora. Asuka bit her lower lip, trying to keep herself calm.

"I...I don't know Sachiko. You are his family, if you couldn't talk to him..." she paused. The look on Sachiko's face was a bit much for Asuka, and she couldn't help herself. She swallowed thickly, trying to keep the lump in her throat from growing. "Alright Sachiko, I'll...try," she stated, wrapping her arms around the Tsukino female before leaving to find Sora. He had returned some time ago, his scent already strong in her senses, and she followed it to where she would find him. Once she had, she stared at him, noting his features and how darkened they truly were. It...frightened her a bit, to know that Kaede's death took this kind of toll on him.

"Sora," she spoke his name so fragile like as she took a step towards him, and stopped. "Sora, Sachiko's worried about you. I am worried about you. You said you would let me help if I let you help me. So...please," she almost pleaded to him, but she couldn't tell if she was getting through to him or not. She loved him so much that her heart felt like it was being ripped out of her chest to see him in such a way. She didn't want him to be this way. She wanted Sora back, but she knew that was asking too much. There would be no getting her Sora back the way he was. And they had seen to it with Kaede's death.
