Vas took moment to try and think of a explanation of his power without sounding like the complete chemistry geek even though he was.
"Uhmm well I can force my will upon atoms and electrons , so basically manipulate anything at the atomic level...." Obviously trying not to sound like the geek failed "Maybe I should just show you" he said with a smile
Taking out a solid unsharpened wooden pencil from his satchel Vas removed the eraser and metal eraser holder, placing the simple wooden rod between his two index fingers "Now watch carefully" with his eyes closed he focused on the interior structure of the wooden pencil and not its exterior appearance. Through his study of chemistry Vas knew that wood is mostly cellulose and cellulose has the chemical composition of CH2O, so by removing all the hydrogen and oxygen molecules from the wood and replacing them with carbon which he gathered from the air around in his zen like meditation the edges of the pencil started to turn a shimmery gray color instead of their original wooden brown color, and as the discoloration started it took less than 4 seconds for the once brown pencil to turn completely into a carbon rod, but he wasn't finished yet still focusing Vas started to steal protons from the air around and began to fuse large sums of these protons with the molecules of carbon essential choosing to transmuting the carbon rod into a silver rod, and finally into a solid gold rod with the same length and diameter as the original pencil.
