My ears twitched at the feeling of a pack bond call, something had happened back in Salem and it alerted not only me but my wife. Sitting up in bed I looked around at the dark room and realized it was pretty trashed, I'd need to clean up tomorrow morning but right now I needed to make a little trip.

"What is it Eric?" The woman beside me asked softly in the night, her eyes alight with worry.

"He's hurting Sarah, Brandon called out to an Alpha, and the only one in Salem I know of is Bran's kid Kateri, Jason isn't home right now she she has to be the one he called to. We need to go back, he needs me" Eric said.

"Sweetheart, thats a 10 day trip, do you really think it will help?" She asked sitting up and pulling the sheet over her bare body.

"I don't know but I need to try, he's my son. If I don't help him I'll feel terrible" He said getting out of bed and going to get ready for the long trip.

He was left alone with Kat's parents and even though she warned them not to continue planning they kept talking about it. They disregarded their own daughters words because they thought she was shy and so he needed to set them straight.

"With all due respect she is telling the truth, She brought me here for no other reason than to heal. Nothing could go on between me and her because I have no feelings for her" he said softly and they both looked at him with a look that told him they didn't believe him.

"It's no use lying to us, at least one part of you doesn't feel that way Brandon" Kat's father said. This caused Brandon to jump a little, how did this man know his name!?

H-How... he started and the man held up a hand.

"I knew your father when he was living here, you probably don't remember me it's been so long since I've seen you but I don't really leave pack lands much anymore. Not to mention your father and I were friends but our status clashed. He was an Alpha I was an Alpha you can imagine who well that went over most days" He said laughing and closing his eyes for a moment. "I'm the one who introduced him to the pack further north that needed an Alpha and then they moved further north which is why he moved, so in all actuality it's my fault he moved but he did it for a good reason. That pack was on the verge of disbanding and then we would have rouge lycan running everywhere and that wouldn't be good" He said and Brandon paused for a moment. He felt rage build but something stopped him and then, he felt the change, that wasn't good.

Bran, it has been too long, thank you for giving me the needed push to overpower the tiger said.

"No problem you're the one I wanted to talk with anyway" He said and the tiger laughed.

I assumed as much, Brandon can be rather stubborn at times, do you think he felt it as well? he asked.

"Of course, you are his son, he would feel that call for anywhere, even I felt it but I felt it better for her to respond. Not to mention that she was closer and this old Cat doesn't move all that quickly" Bran said laughing.

I'm sure you could still give me a run for my money, but anyway that is beside the point if Eric felt it he'll be back in town soon, ten days tops. Will Kateri be able to handle having him here? he asked.

"She handled you didn't she? I have a feeling she'll be fine just let her into it easily. She just came back you know, and one of her other suitors is chatting her up. Might wanna go save your lady there Tiger" He said jokingly and the tiger smiled a little, he might just have to. "Don't be too rough, she is protective of them but you might want to assert your dominance" He said softly and the tiger nodded, he needed to mark his territory here now.

Walking outside he walked softly and quietly as to not draw any attention to himself early until he was right behind them in time to hear the comment about a swim and he smiled clearing his throat.

A swim huh? I dunno it seems a little late for that don't you think Kateri darling? he said smoothly not giving off any of his energy just yet. Watching her turn around she was just about to scold him until she looked into his eyes and yelped jumping back for a moment and then that alerted the other male. He looked to the tiger and bared human teeth but that was still a warning sign.

"Well if it isn't the broken pup, you think you can just waltz in here and claim her? Think again buddy we've been here long before you and your split soul have been so just BACK OFF!" He said asserting power with his last two words, normally it would have made other men back down. He was rather powerful but the Tiger simply smiled he would put this kid in his place.

Really? I should back off, I don't think you quite understand your place here. He said his power slowly raising with each second. He quickly matched the kids and noticed he was starting to sweat a little around the collar. The tiger locked eyes with him and smiled his power continuing to grow. Kateri Dawnwalker is mine, I will gladly fight any who wish to challenge me but let me assure you. It will end the same for any who come, you'll end up ON YOUR KNEES!" He said forcefully and the kid dropped as if on command his face to the ground and Kateri flared up.

KNOCK IT OFF! She demanded and he stopped, but not dropping to her command in the power, she wasn't going to win that easily. I said stop now Brandon She said looking into his eyes and her own flickering gold and he finally pulled his power back in. She sighed walking over to the boy who was now quivering from the power battle. Go home Kyle, I need to deal with him. I'm sorry he treated you like that, get some rest we'll talk tomorrow. She said softly and he nodded weakly and walked off like he was in a drunken stupor. WHAT THE CRAP WAS THAT ALL ABOUT HUH!? she screamed at him, no power behind the words just emotion.

I could ask you the same question, I already told you I've laid claim to you. Your lycan agrees too, so why are you even giving them the light of day?

Because I'm not a prize Brandon! To hell with what you or my lycan says, I'm a woman! I can make my own choices and live my life the way I want to. If you think you can just claim me like a piece of meat, or some prize you win from a game you're wrong, DEAD wrong ok? I mean for Christ sake you didn't have to make him go to his knees! She said and started to walk off and Brandon followed her.

Ok yes I mat have over done it but I wanted to make sure he knew not to mess with me. I'm sorry if you think I over did it, it won't happen again. However you need to know something Bran thinks Eric is coming back. Brandon's father, he is sure the Eric felt the call as well and I have a feeling he did too. You need to be prepared for that to happen ok? he said softly and she turned her expression looked a little worried now.

Eric felt that? she said in a hushed tone.

That was my plan, I don't know if it worked but I'm hoping it did, Eric can help you snap Brandon back into his senses. Not to mention the sooner he is back to being whole the sooner we can work on us He said softly and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Th-there is no us right now dude she said shakily.

Key word being right now my love, I plan on there being an us. just when the time is right and I'm whole again. Now come home, I'm tired and I don't feel like waking up in the middle of the night having to defend you again he said laughing and despite her being opposed to his claim of her she laughed as well as they both walked back to the house.
