Jin now clutching to the royally stamped envelope, watched as the queen made her graceful exit and disappeared into the depths of the massive ship. He looked down and broke the seal with his finger making sure to not disfigure the envelope in any way and read its contents in a hushed tone:
At the bottom of the letter contained the signatures of the king and queen as if it wasn't authentic enough. After resealing the letter and placing it in his flight jacket Jin noticed a small card fall out and onto the ground. He picking it up noticing they were the directions to his new quarters and headed there eagerly awaiting to see his new home.
As the doors to his quarters slid open to the touch of his key card a sense of pride began to overcome Jin, not in his country, but in his life progress he had gone from being a homeless street urchin as some would put it, to living onboard the Metargo fleets finest ship and in quarters fit for a nobel man, well besides the maps mounted along the walls and the table sized battlefield projector which gave live feed of battles and even had a replay function. Jin's life had hit the jackpot so to speak, but of course this upgrade to his lifestyle came with the price of tactically leading hundreds of troops to fight to the death... it sure beat sleeping in Champ as the alternative.
Jin explored the contents of the room finding a full stocked supplement fridge and a closet with two freshly pressed uniforms that communicated his new ranking. After drinking one of the supplements to replenish himself from the battle, and changing into his new uniform he walked out with the intentions to head to the command room to gain familiarity with the crew and equipment but encountered a young woman official who simply introduced herself as his tactical assistant. "Good evening sir the command center is this way if you would follow me" the woman's formal speech was that of a maid but her military demeanor insisted she could handle her own in a fight. "lead the way please" he insisted and as she did Jin carefully studied her body and gait for any physical evidence as to why she wouldn't be a fighting soldier and was instead his personal assistant.
Upon reaching the command center everyone gaze was immediately shifted to Jin, all but his assistant who gave the announcement of his presence... something he was neither expecting nor happy about. Jin wanted the chance to study the individuals in the room without much attention being on him but since that was out the window he decided to make a public address. "I am Tactical Commander Jin-Giro and I will be in charge from here onward." With his short speech over and the attention dissipating off of him Jin assumed his position over the command center battlefield projector and started reviewing all the combat that took place over the course of the day leading up to the captains death and the eventual retreat.
