Jack watched as Astrid stood, running her fingers through her long hair, "Actually, I think we can manage this one without them." Astrid said, much to Jack's delight. The trip would be much more enjoyable without having to drag along a watching werewolf. âI'll return shortly â I should wear something more fitting for getting dirty.â Astrid adding, a seductive smile playing across her face as she left. Jack couldn't help but raise his eyebrows, his own mouth forming a small smirk. While Jack waited he took his now empty glass up and placed it in the dishwasher. He loved the rising technology, it made life so much easier. As he always though, who wanted to wash dishes when you could be running through the night hunting for food? Of course, if he was true to his vampiric nature he wouldn't need to use dishes, but you've got to move with the times.
It wan't long before Astrid was back, in clothes a lot more casual. Jack had no such concern for his own clothes. "Just try to keep up." Astrid said, as she led him through the house and out via the third floor deck. Jack grinned, "Try and stop me." He replied playfully as he jumped off behind her. At first his body protested, he had after all just woken up. However after a moment his legs started to move faster, quickly passing anything humanly possible. He felt wind breeze past him and branches harmlessly rip along his skin. He smiled at the feeling of being outside. All around him the plants seemed to wake up at his presence, trying to reach out to him before he vanished a second later. Jack made a silent promise to return when he had enough time, but for now he was simply enjoying the run. There was nothing like running fast. He could understand the werewolves' desire to hunt and run in wolf form if it was anything like this. Up ahead he could see Astrid's form darting through the trees, enjoying the run just as much as he was. Where they were going, Jack didn't know, but he was happy to let Astrid lead him there. None of the other vampires in the coven knew of Astrid's true age. She was much older than him and Jack knew that if she wanted to she could easily out run him.
Curiosity getting the better of him Jack pushed harder, quickly catching up with Astrid until he was running beside her.
"So, where is this mysterious flower?" He asked, before breaking into a cheeky grin. "Or is this some elaborate excuse to get me alone?"
