Casey looked up and down the table, her eyes taking all the food in with a smile that only showed her expectations being surpassed. Casey had seen such feasts before, heard of them, and even eaten at them, but this just surpassed all other experiences. Casey moved over slightly as one of Casey's brothers friends came over, taking the seat and crowding Casey just enough to make her want to move.
The other kids were all interesting, fun to watch and guess what house they would be in. Casey looked down at the newest Ravenclaw members, recognizing and remembering the name Willow for one of the girls. She had seemed surprised, shocked, and unhappy she was placed in Ravenclaw. It was rather surprising considering Ravenclaw was such a fun house. There would be books to read, things to look into, art and other fun things to create. Who wouldn't want into Ravenclaw?
Casey moved over a bit so she wasn't so far from Willow as she spoke to the girl, "Hi, My name's Casey. You doing okay?" Casey didn't mean to sound like she was intruding on the girls privacy, but she was curious as to whey she didn't want to be in Ravenclaw, or made it appear she was not wanting to be in Ravenclaw. Could there be a reason that she just pretended? What other house would she possibly want? Casey used the plate in front of her, getting food to put on her plate as she waited for an answer, watching the sleeve of her robe as she always had to.
The seats weren't the most comfortable in the world, but when Casey took a bite of food, the thoughts of discomfort melted away faster than ice on a hot day. The candles above caught Casey's eyes making her wonder if the charm or spell holding them up ever had to be renewed. Perhaps it was just enchanted and didn't need to be constantly renewed to keep up, perhaps like the candles in Casey's own home.
