Billie-Jean took one look at her alarm clock and cursed she was late for school! This wasn't the first impression she was going for! Stumbling out of bed she headed for the shower, only to run into her weird parents.

"Mom! Mother! Father! Dad!" she screamed in horror covering her eyes.

Her parents happened to be practicing their religion this morning. You see Billie-Jean's parents where hippies, they where children of the flower power and music. Their religion consisted of sharing a blunt or snorting crack, her mother told her that it helped them become one with the earth, moon, and sun. Her dad said it brought the connect of mind and body. Billie-Jean thought they were all just stupid drug addicts.

Currently the scene before her eyes was proving her point.

Her four parents sat in a circle in their birthday suits basing around a blunt. Billie-Jean spotted various other drugs she wasn't going to comment on. The group of adults turned to look at Billie-Jean all with the same glassy eyes.

Her mother giggled. She held out a the blunt to her daughter. "BJ darling....come take some... join are connection with the mother..."

Billie-Jean scrunched her nose up in disgust. BJ didn't like smoking and certainty hated when her parents where on drugs. It messed with there mind and constantly effected their judgement. She wondered what it would be like to have normal parents. Just a mother and father who worked an office job. Instead of four parents, she loved her parents she did, but truly blamed them for her weirdness. No parent should be OK with giving their teenager a blunt, and they also shouldn't be OK with giving their four year old a blunt.

Billie-Jean batted the blunt away that her mother was shoving in her face nearly burning her cheek. "No mother smoking is bad! Plus i'm starting a new school today don't you want me to make friends?"

Her Dad picked up the still burning joint from the floor and started puffing away.

Her mom shrugged. "Suit yourself kid I was just trying to help your nerves, besides when did you concern yourself with your peers?"

Billie-Jean scowled. "When my dance company said I need to start doing other dances besides solos or be fired."

Growing up with parents that grew drugs for a living was hard. It caused Billie-Jean to be different from everyone else in her class making it hard to make friends. She couldn't bring friends home in fear of her classmates finding out her parents were druggies. It also didn't help that every time she meet a peer she couldn't help but say something rude. It wasn't her fault that the only interaction she had was with drugged hippies or emotionless dancers.

Or maybe it was the rainbow colored hair and piercings?

Looking at the time on the living room clock BJ swore. This inside debate would have to wait she had school to get to.
