Violet sighs as the man ogles her body, being all to familiar with that look. As long as no 'dumb blonde' jokes follow she'll treat him as an equal and potential friend. While His questions take Violet off guard, they are totally reasonable and deserving of an honest response.
"I'm a scientist studying in environmental interaction and human spurred evolutionary changes in remote regions. That means I spend a lot of time traveling to places few go. I've spent plenty of time hiking through jungles, diving reefs, and riding small boats to tiny islands. Honestly not having seen it I can't be 100% certain, but all the small boats I've been on have had a bell that sounded very much like the one I heard coming from the beach."
Shaking his hand, "Nice to have you along Evan."

Violet thinks she sees the 'Bullman' move when Evan speaks to it. 'Note to self: examine Minotaur upon return from the beach.'

Using the dual guides of the stream and ringing it is quite easy to find the beach. Seeing the boat is listing heavily, almost sunk, many of Violet's fragile hopes are destroyed. And the turning tide just makes things worse. Not much time left to do much. After letting the disappointment wash over her for a long ten count, Violet moves forward with what's available.

Violet starts to take off her shoes and outer clothes. "If you're a confident swimmer, You're welcome to join me. I'm going aboard."
