ADAVAHR

It all started on a day like any other. The only difference was the fact that this day seemed to take forever and Dustin knew why. He couldn’t wait to get home from school so he could open his package, which he knew was coming in the mail today. Inside the package was a game which he had been waiting for since he had been accepted into the closed beta, Labyrinth Tower Online. All day he ignored the teacher’s lessons and did anything he could to make time go by quickly, which never turned out in his favor. Finally the bell rang out to signal the end of class for the day, which caused Dustin to let out a huge sigh of relief. He dashed out of the class room and headed straight for the bus, ignoring the teacher yelling behind him something about weekend homework. He took the first seat that was available and waited yet again for the start of the trip home.
As soon as the bus came to a halt and the doors opened he was outside. He ran home at top speed, dodging people and bushes alike. He ran until his modest house was in full view, then he slowed down and jogged over to the mailbox. He opened the rusty mailbox and found a small package. He grabbed the small vanilla package and jogged to the front door, impatiently opening the lock with his key. “I’m home. “He yelled as he entered the front door. To that he received no response, so he just shrugged and headed for his room. He kicked off his shoes, set his bag by the door and quickly ripped open his package. “Labyrinth Tower Online. “ He said as he ran his fingers across the newly opened case. He opened said case, took out the disk and grabbed his Nerve Gear. Dustin hadn’t touched his Nerve Gear since he was released from SAO. It was recommended that everyone that was involved in that horrible game dispose of the system, but he didn’t like that idea. He loved SAO, even though his life was at risk while playing. He took another look at the Nerve Gear and decided, He was going back in. He entered LTO’s disk into the Nerve Gear system and lay back onto his bed.

Dustin was already familiar with the setup and startup of LTO, which made creating his character easy. He was a healing paladin just like in SAO, and likewise he picked his favorite skill. :Weapon smithing: He spent the first hour in LTO doing quests that would lead him to raw materials so he could level up his Smithing skill. He was an hour and a half into it when he received the last item he needed to build the sword he wanted. As he slashed his sword into the level 12 jumping spider for the last time and it burst into an array of data, he received the gemstone that would make his sword into what he needed it to be. He clicked the circle menu, which allowed him to loot the item and headed back to town. He ignored all enemies on his way back to town, which allowed him to get there more quickly. He made his way to the forge, which was where he was temporarily making weapons, and he set to work. It didn’t take long to make the sword due to the way LTO’s skills worked, which wasn’t a problem if you asked him. Just as he finished, a notification slipped across Adavahr’s screen which said. “Congratulations, you have successfully created; Fine Upton Sword!” as soon as the notification came up, he was instantly force-teleported away.

“No! “He yelled as he spawned on a hill within a mass group of people, which gained him confused looks from many curious people. Adavahr wasn’t even concerned how he looked to other people at that moment; all he cared about was what happened to his sword. He quickly checked his inventory, but it wasn’t there. The only thing he could think happened was it dropped, which could be a big problem. “But why did I get teleported? “ He asked aloud, hoping he could find the answer. Just as he spoke, he noticed something floating in the air.
Whatever it was, It was about to speak.
"To every player still alive in LTO. I am sure you all are aware that the log out button is missing. Don't panic, It is not a glitch or a problem. I made the game this way so no one can log out." He then gives out a chuckle as he lets what he said sink in. "I see that 320 of your fellow players have died already. Permanently. I am positive all of you know what happen in SAO. So I hope you are all prepared to go through it here. The rulers are simple for people that have not played SAO. Your mission, is to live, clear every floor labyrinth and defeat the boss. If you all die here, you shall die in reality. I wish you all luck and I shall await for you at the top floor."

‘Not this again! “ Adavahr said as he opened his menu and sure enough the logout button wasn’t anywhere to be found. ‘Great! “ he turned around and began to head back to the forge. People all around him were panicking, one man that was low on health, decided he didn’t believe the GM. The man began to scream at the top of his lungs and was planning to jump off the side of the hill the group was on. The hill wasn’t overwhelmingly large, but at his level and with his low health if he jumped off he would certainly die instantly. As Adavahr rushed forward to subdue the crazed man, he missed the notification for the message he had just received. As soon as he calmed the man down, he remembered his sword and began to run to the forge. He didn’t want all his hard work to end in vein if someone else found the sword he worked so hard to create. Adavahr made it in time to the forge and picked up his sword from the ground. It really was an amazing sword. He pulled it from its sheath and watched as the light hit it just right, which brought a smile to Dustin’s face. As he resheathed his sword, he noticed the notification on the top left of his hud. “A message? Who could that be from? “ he said as he clicked the circle again.

"To all players wanting to live or keep moving on. My name is Wolfblade. I am looking for players interested in joining a guild. I use to be a solo-player and know how far one can get. You won't get far without help. So if you value your life or anyone elses in this game, or maybe you just want to beat the game. Then please come and join me.

” Crap! “He said as he looked over the message again. “I get the chance of a lifetime to change my fate and I miss my opportunity. “ Adavahr closed the message and ran back to the square. There was much less panic in the street, which was good. It was nowhere near as bad as it was in SAO. Some of the veteran players already set up centres to combat panic. From there he headed straight for the tower, which was the direction it had said the messenger was. As Adavahr got to the tower, he quickly realized nobody was there. “Did he already leave? “He asked himself. He had a sneaking suspicion the man had entered the tower. “If he entered the tower alone
” He didn’t finish his sentence. Adavahr made a dash for the door, opening the large door with a stiff creak.

As Adavahr stepped into the darkness he quickly realized there was no floor. The way he “realized” was the least graceful way possible. He fell! Adavahr hit many large, rough boulders on the way down and finally he landed hard onto his back. He woke up several minutes later and attempted to sit up. “Where am I? “He spoke again to himself as he pushed himself up. “Minor Heal! “ he spoke. A warm light rose from his fingertips and rushed over his body. He noticed his health bar went from 89% back to 100. He looked around and saw three different directions he could take, and no enemies. “Well, I have to start somewhere. I wonder which way I should go. “
