Aelin looked around the new floor. It really did look peaceful. There were flowers blooming and the trees bore all kinds of fruit.
"Floor of New Beginnings, eh? Well, it does look like an Eden."
Aelin's thoughts were distracted when she found a rare flower. It was white with purple near the bud.
"No way... The Lilia Royale?!"
Aelin ran over to the flower and observed it. She sniffed it and her smile widened.
"Yeah... It was just as beautiful as the rumors said."
Her mind went back to the first time she found flowers. It was after she was bullied in the real life. Her flowers soon became her only reason to live. There was an acquaintance who shared her love of flowers but she was too distant from Rinslet. Aelin soon stood up.
"Hey... You know how Lisa was crying back there because of her feeling scared to die?"
Aelin took a deep breath.
"Well... I'm not scared to die... Because I have nothing to go back to."
Aelin gestures around the garden.
"You see these blossoms? They're the only friends I've got in the real world. Out there, I'm just some plain loser who has no reason to live. The humans that I do interact with are all insanely cruel. Each one of them can find at least one thing to hate about me. And... it's thanks to them that I gave up living in the outside world. No one out there accepts me so why should I accept it?"
The harsh words caused tears to form in the corners of Aelin's eyes as she kept that broken smile.
"But here in LTO, I'm someone different. I can be accepted for who I am and hell, I can find friends. I'm someone that I like to be here. I'll still beat the game, sure~ I mean, I don't want everyone to be trapped here forever like in SAO. But once the game is over... so am I. Like I said earlier, what's waiting for me outside? A world of ridicule, cruelty and loneliness? I don't think I can come back to that world."
By that moment, Aelin's smile was gone and the tears flowed down as she hugged herself.
'What am I being so deep for? Do I have that big of a crush on Haven?'
The answer never came as Aelin continued to silently cry.
