The distraction of the other confrontation happening on the beach cause Violet to completely miss the birdman thrashing his tail in her direction. The impact and pain of the strike causes her tumble backwards.
"Ow!" She lies dazed more than injured watching the birdman's assault on the heavily clothed stranger. As she watches, potential way to end the assault before the stranger is badly injured occurs to her to.
Violet pulls the first aid kit out of her bag. Then puts it and the spear to the side but within reach. She gets up avoiding putting too much weight on her injured ankle. Gripping the burlap bag in both hands she shouts, "If you want the stuff from the boat that badly. Take mine!" Violet swings the bag for the Birdman's shoulder with all the strength and weight behind it she can muster.

The beach is made up of white sands which sprawls out around the entire island. There's only one dock left intact to the Southeast. Its rare to see a boat enter, and almost never leaves.
