Estr gazed down at the dark stranger from the large branches of a tall tree. He let his guard down, didn’t he? Who he was or what his relations with her employer did not matter. He was her mission, the reason why she was specifically chosen for this task.
She took a silent breath and unsheathed a ornate, golden dagger from her right side and held it in her hand. The dagger seemed to pulse with energy and the blade had a faint aura of orange surrounding it. Perhaps the dagger is not necessary, she thought. Just in case, she unsheathed a simple, silver dagger from her other side that seemed nothing more than the average blade. She gripped both daggers in a firm fist.
She breathed again, and not a second later, she leapt down from the tree and swung the silver dagger at the man.
