Snippet #2496933

located in The Beach and dock, a part of Island of Doctor Moreau, one of the many universes on RPG.

The Beach and dock

The beach is made up of white sands which sprawls out around the entire island. There's only one dock left intact to the Southeast. Its rare to see a boat enter, and almost never leaves.

To many eyes, Grue was a heap of ratty clothe that was shoddily tied together, patched and re-patched clothing that hardly retained the original colors that they came out of the store with. Darkened, dirtied with a blackish-gray mud, it made the blood starkly contrast from the rest of the muddy colors. Violet had the opportunities to see patches of skin exposed to the open air; particularly the hands, feet, elbows, knees and, tail. All purposefully smeared by a home made concoction as a crude form of camouflage. Which still didn't hide the fact that there was the faintest layers of fur accenting those areas. The hands could still loosely be considered human in shape if they could be imagined without the claws. Like that of a raccoon or opossum's. It would be a longer shot in the dark to say the same about the less human qualities of the feet. From heel to toe they were easily as long as a man's forearm, hand included, with the "big toe" positioned further back for gripping objects such as branches. This also made it very impractical to walk 'flat footed'.

The worst of the injuries were on the left shoulder and right thigh. It would take a lot to properly flush out the wounds that were now caked with sand and other debris. At the very least it did help slow the bleeding. With Violet's helping hand they would be mostly cleaned and dressed enough to stop the bleeding for the time being as long as Taurus handled Grue carefully enough. "She" wasn't completely unconscious, but in enough shock to leave her in a state close to it. The crackling of the radio made her ears twitch under the hood. Several strands of braided hair dangle free as she's lifted up; as limp as a sack of rice. The last thing she wanted was to end up in the hands of the guards again. There wasn't enough willpower in the world to get herself to move.

"Can, I go along with you?" It hardly registers to Evan that Crombie was speaking with him. He was more trained on Varin to make sure that he didn't pull a dirty move on him. As that was something that he would most likely do himself if he thought that he would have to fight to keep from losing what he had. Not even the half-clothed Violet would hold his attention when she came back around.

What came next would catch everyone off guard. Several guards came out from the wood works. Either to put a damper on what they were doing or to help collect the prize that Taurus was now holding down by the stream, or both. They didn't appear to happy to see subjects with arms full of unapproved goods that could pose as a safety hazard later on. "Ey! You're not supposed to have those. You too! Put it down!" One calls out to Varin and Evan. They would hear a scuffle break out near the river throwing the guards off for a moment to look towards that direction with their hands on their belts, at the ready.

Evan, thinking it the most advantageous at the time, decided to ditch everyone and head straight for his little hiding spot to ditch the goods. He was surprisingly fast for his size once he had the right motivations. Not that there would be no repercussions for making such a decision. What were they going to do? Ground him? One ran off after Evan, another stayed back and started for Varin. While a third was getting something over the radio about being needed by the river.

The truth was, that they all needed to be brought back into the Facility for a 'check up' to see how they were holding up on their first day out. Plus there were already issues that needed to be addressed. So they would have to be 'herded' back in.

As Violet returns from the beach she would be greeted with a familiar sight. The water erupting like a volcano. The shark beast known as Alex came back for seconds. For the one that was bleeding all over the bank. This time he was a couple feet further from the water than before. But it didn't stop him from using his weight to throw himself at Taurus and latch onto Grue with those razor sharp teeth. Imagine a shark being able to come up on land when its prey thinks it's safely out of range. A leg would do, seeing as he didn't just want a chunk. He wanted the person it was attached to. Conveniently enough, Grue was much lighter than the bull man and thus further settled her in as the popular target. He used his bulk to weigh Taurus down while using his hand-like fins to wrap around the rest of Grue in a slimy trap before pulling his weight back and down towards the water.

All of this happened with one quick motion. Another to bring all of them rolling back towards the water with Alex flailing like a beached eel to fling himself to where he wanted himself and his catch to be. Back in the stream. There was no doubt about it that he had a limited amount of time before help would arrive so that even he would be left on the sand to explain himself. If he couldn't get Taurus to let go he could always check to see how long he could hold his breath...
