The Cybrans had vanished from the water and left behind nothing more than ship fragments and debris floating atop the waves. With each rolling crash of the tide against the coastline the pile of discarded trash was growing larger along the rocky beach, and overhead the Volarian military personnel lingered atop the cliffs in the sprawling plains. They were still recovering from the shock of the Cybran's abrupt disappearance, but they seemed ready for a renewal of the combat as they dug in and prepared for the worst. Surely this was a deception of some sort.

Meanwhile in the water things had grown still. Haigara had vanished back into the ocean depths in search of the Cybran's source while Haijira lingered within the shallows just off the coast. There were Taiyou and Losenyu vessels in the distance, but none that had neared his location. It wasn't the ships that caught his mind's eyes though. Overhead he had detected the presence of a strange dragon in the sky, but he detected no animosity from it. If anything she shared a curiosity that reflected his own, tinged with the same sense of purpose.

The telepathic call rang clearly as he reached out to Ming Yu.
