Johnny nodded when Landon went up to bed. Johnny was fine with sleeping on the couch for another night. Landon had done way more work on this place than he had, he deserved a good nights sleep. Not long after Landon had gone to bed, Johnny realised that the bedding had been taken upstairs after a moment of misplaced optimism and naivety. Yeah, sure I can get two beds up tonight along with the rest of the furniture. Quietly, he headed up the stairs, testing each step before putting his full weight on it so he didn't wake Landon.

He flicked the light on in what would soon be his bedroom, grabbing his bedding from the corner before changing into his pajamas. As he pulled an old t-shirt over his head, Johnny got the feeling he was being watched. He looked to the door, in case it was Landon. Seeing nothing there, Johnny shrugged, forgetting the feeling. He was probably just being paranoid, there was no one around for miles. There was just him and Landon around. Padding back downstairs, Johnny made sure the front door was locked and threw his duvet over the couch, converting some of the cushions into a decent pillow. He switched the TV to the news channel before crawling into his makeshift bed, with his back to the TV, listening to the repetitive news reel as he drifted up to sleep.

Johnny felt a cold draft over him and he woke up suddenly, feeling like he was waking up from a nightmare. It took a second for him to realise what was happening. His confused brain woke up and he gave an involuntary yell of fear, scrambling out from the under the woman who was standing over him, nearly falling backwards off the arm of the couch. "What...Who are-" He forced himself to slow his breathing, "Who the hell are you? And how did you get in here?" He yelled at the woman and he cast a quick glance at the TV. 3 AM. What kind of sane person was awake at the 3 AM? More to the point, what kind of sane person broke into someone's house? He wished he had a weapon on him. He wouldn't actually use it offensively, but it would be nice to have something to defend himself with if the somewhat eccentric looking woman before him decided to attack him.
