"It'd be nice. I mean, I want to talk to her more and stuff. I just..." He flushed. "I'll do it, dude. Yeah. Right on."
Annabelle couldn't hear Pendley, or sense her presence. The voices got louder, like someone was shouting in her ear, and then stopped completely. She laid there, dazed for a moment. Her throat felt sore. Her arms felt sore. Why... why did it leave? It never just left like that.
