Val was not reassured how complementary the two would be in this marriage. A tour with the princess would be a better to gauge what kind of woman she would be: whether she be a woman who needs a husband to guard and watch over her like her father seems to imply or she be a woman of independence and of proper bearings to be his wife and queen of the kingdoms.

"That seems like a fine suggestion, Your Majesty. Perhaps in the morrow when my men and I are well rested from our ride." Val was not wearied from the ride, but wearied from being in this man's presence and the impeding courtship. Should he send for flowers tomorrow or would that offend his host? He needs to consult Lorraine.

Secretive, Lorraine noted. For so small as a thing to ask about the Princess' hobbies and to be deflected elegantly was a curious thing. The direct question, the Princess had answered truthfully and yet the other... well. Lorraine will have to see what sort of feast and celebration these people will hold to impress their future king.
