“Oh damn it…” Gabrielle swore under her breath and despite her instincts telling her not to, she made her way over to Bo as soon as the assassin slumped down to the ground. Kneeling down beside her, she refrained from touching her and released a deep sigh at her words. She hadn’t meant to hurt her, but it was obvious she had done just that.
“I’m not his favorite. I’m his job…. Bo, he gets paid a bunch to protect me. I’m sure he just did that to make sure I didn’t kill myself or something since it happened right after my mom was killed. You’re his kid… he cares for you whether he shows it or not. Hell, he wanted us to meet… and yeah, we did, but… …he talks about you.”
