Xander continued amusing himself as he waited for this show to get on the road, carefully watching the group of kids entertaining each other making sure not to get caught. Just then, the one boy of the group looked over and waved at him while giving a big grin. This drew the attention of the other girl as well, and together they stopped paying attention to their own group and started scoping out their surroundings. She waved as well.
"Oh god, I was being too obvious..." he thought to himself, trying to hide his embarassment. He nonchalantly looked away, pretending to be innocent. "They're obviously not from the area.. nobody from LA is that friendly" he smiled to himself and again tried to hold back some self-inflicted giggles. "Man that's awkward. Still.. I can't believe how friendly they're being.. I'd never wave to a stranger like that. Maybe I'm just rude... ugh." now he felt bad. He wondered if he should acknowledge them back.... naaah. "What would be the point of that. They're just a bunch of strangers that I'm forced to be on a plane with."
Finally, takeoff he thought. He was more than ready to get this trip over with. To be honest at this point he wasn't even sure he was planning on staying. Maybe he'd just check the place out, see what its all about, and then get back to LA before anyone even noticed he was gone. "Ack.." he exclaimed as he was pulled back to reality by some unpleasant turbulence during ascension. He allowed his gaze to wander around the cabin to occupy his thoughts away from the possible anxiety he was experiencing. He really wasn't the biggest fan of flying, even though he knew a future in his career likely involved spending a lot of time on airplanes. He had never really done much long-distance traveling up till this point in his life. He had flown to New York once or twice for some auditions, but that was nothing compared to the 18 hour flight he had ahead of him to Japan.
One girl caught his eye; she was a couple rows up, also sitting alone. Even though he couldn't see her face, something about her caught his attention. Well, he had to admit, even from the back she was really pretty... but more than that, her energy seemed to resonate with him. She was looking down, presumably texting or playing a game on her phone or something. But she seemed sad, like she was holding back tears or something. He thought he heard her sniffling. He didn't know why, but he almost felt compelled to go up and talk to her. Just then she looked back at him. "Oh god" he looked away quickly. "here we go again. I must have been staring too hard.. she probably felt my eyes on the back of her head. Wh-what!? She's coming over here?!?" The girl got up and sat in the seat right in front of Xander before turning around and talking to him.
"Psst, hey you with the spiky hair and attractive face."
Xander made a pitiful effort to try and hide the massive smirk that came over his face. "The front's even better than the back!" he thought. But in all seriousness, he was quite impressed with how pretty she was. She had medium-long length dark brown hair, beautiful hazel eyes, and was obviously very fit.
âI was wondering if you wouldn't mind a little company. I was bored and you seem like the opposite of boring.â
"That's funny, I was actually thinking about coming over and saying hi. So you think my face is attractive, huh?" Xander gave the girl a mischievous grin.
