Princess Amelie narrowed her eyes at the Prince's hasty need to escape but none the less nodded. She said goodbye to Madame while her companions were trifling with affections that she paid no mind to.

"Madame, il était bon de vous voir," Amelie says and kisses the old woman's head. Madame hugs her around the neck while remaining seated and smiles at her as if Amelie were her own granddaughter.

"Oui oui, you too, princesse! Do all come back soon!" The old woman says with a wink at Prince Valeraine and then looks at Amelie closely, "stay safe, princesse. Je ne sais pas ce que je ferais sans toi."

Amelie smiles lightly and nods, looking away and leading the troupe out the door. The villagers were instructed by the royal guard while they were in here not to tell the newcomers of the attacks. Madame wasn't privy to that knowledge, but she was quite insightful for an old woman, so she knew not to say a word.

"How about a drink, everyone?" Princess Amelie asks brightly, abandoning polite pretenses as she made her way into the tavern to her left. As she entered, some villagers bowed their heads, others waved and smiled, but none got out of their seats. It filled Amelie with a sense of belonging and love, because she knew how long it had taken for everyone to grow comfortable with her here. She hoped that her companions would grow to like this style of living as well, because she knew it was anything but proper.

Amelie sits down at the bar and waits for everyone to sit down as well before smiling at the server. He inclines his head and moves to the princess. "The usual today, princess?" He says with a light Irish accent. She knew that there was a mix of everyone in Maree, and wondered what the prince would think of it.

"Ah, better not. Wouldn't want to scare them away," she says with a laugh, remembering the ale-drinking contests she often won here. "Just regular beer for me, please, Hal. All of this is on me, so don't worry about holding back everyone," she says with a playful smirk at Lord Asher. He winked and smiled, knowing that he was in fourth place and had not worked up to her tolerance level quite yet.

"So," Amelie says, turning around in her seat so her elbows were back against the bar and she had the beer mug in her hand resting, taking occasional sips. She didn't care that royal ladies generally had wine, this was her town and she was prepared for anything. Her father had said show them the greatness of Maree..."what do you think of Maree so far? I know we haven't seen much but I'm sure Lady Lorraine took some very observant mental images," Amelie says with hardly a glance and a smirk at the noble lady.
