As Vanessa spoke, Bowen just smiled. He had not known of Baron's decree. He had mixed emotions on the subject as Vanessa spoke. 'Though, I always did wonder why Baron lets you operate out there.', she said. Bowen took another sip of his scotch in an attempt to cool his smoldering pride before it became anger. He was confident she had meant to injure him with that remark. She had succeeded weather she had meant to or not and he would have been hard pressed to restrain his hand if he had not been holding his drink. On the outside the man seated at the bar to the left of Vanessa was as cool as a piece of granite; cool, calm, collected, and in control of the situation.

"A pleasure to meet you Vanessa. What do I want with Baron? Nothing specific. I just wanted to catch up with him. It has been about five years but I did want to speak to him about Ardelean." The Ardelean Society had been more active and more brazen in their attacks on the local werewolves. He could still smell the smoldering flesh of those that had retreated to the cellar.
