Day 3

(Yes, I moved the group into position. NOTHING REGRETTED.)

Just as Sylphine and the rest of her group arrived at the top of the cliff, she was greeted by a flash of orange light. Lowering her arm which she had used to shield her eyes, the girl realized the sources of that light were raging fires. So it's begun already, huh...that's odd, we only just got here. Guess some people weren't patient enough. Still, seeing the daemon come out of the flames like that...quite a sight. Must major in theatrics, she thought jokingly.

Aesthetics aside, Pirika interrupted, it doesn't look like the plan entirely worked. They left some of their numbers in reserve. Sure enough, half of the bandits--around 20 or so?--were still standing around, brandishing their weapons while looking forward at the battle. It's not likely we can free the hostages while they're standing so closely nearby. Currently, the bird familiar was watching from a tree at the edge of the camp, a little bit past the towers which had just been burned down.

Then I hope our reserve group knows what they're doing, Sylphine mused grimly. They sure were being awfully quiet right now...Well, I think that's all we need for scouting. If you want to sit this out, I'll let you.

Oh good, you finally give me a break. I'll step in if you really need me, though.

Smiling and knowing she could rely on her familiar, Sylphine turned to the rest of her group. "Okay then, guys, if things start getting too bad, I'll try to divert all the attention upon myself. They won't get me so easily while I'm flying, so you can finish off the bandits or rescue the hostages while they're paying attention to me harassing them with wind. Got it?"

For now, though, there wasn't much to do but lay low...
