The trail was more difficult to find than it had been the other day, when it had been fresher, but it was still a simple matter for his memory-tracking.
He soldiered on and out the gates, face set in a stoic grimace. Every so often he stopped to touch at a rock or something else in his path, get a new read on what direction Martin had been going, and then kept moving.
