Cole listened as phoebe spoke, it was hard for him to take in as well. He doesn't want her leaving his side for a week. That's far to long, plus he just got out of jail and only spent two days with his little feather. Cole held her close to him. "I know...we are going to get through this, find a way out.." He says to her quietly. Cole kisses her head, he knows if they try anything he'll kill phoebe, or maybe even keep her hostage. What if that's what he's really planning keeping her hostage after he takes her away. That never came across his mind. Cole takes a deep breath to clear his head. He can't be thinking like that right now, he needs to spend as much time with phoebe as he can. He loves her to death and would kill himself if he did something wrong to cause Jason to flip and kill her in front of him.
