Madison ran her hand over her face with a heavy sigh. "Ain't no rest for the wicked..." she mumbled softly, taking a quick sip of water from her own glass. "Gabe, I don't think there's much left to surprise me in this world. And worrying would be a waste of effort. Let's settle for being disgruntled."
Madison swung her legs back onto the floor and slowly stood, rolling her shoulders. "I'mma go ahead and assume you'll want to do something about this...?" A hell no would be welcome, but oh, so unlikely.
