June's eyes opened a little from their usually cracked form. He couldn't make it out from his table, but now that he was up close, even getting the chance to hear her voice, he was able to make out that the person sitting in front of him was a female. He didn't like dealing with women so early in the day and, if she happened to be a hunter, it would make his day all the more stressful.
"I am just collecting some supplies. What about you my friend? Do you come here often?" She asked. It was only normal for someone to be curious about his current area of choice, especially since he asked first. Although that didn't make June dislike it less than he already did.
"Work," he answered, taking a quick glance around to make sure that no one was eavesdropping on their conversation. "I have something I need to do before the days out. After that I'll be gone from this retched city." He could see her glancing at him, most likely analyzing the scar on his face. He had seen that type of look before. It was the look of someone who was good at looking at people and determining who they were exactly. Though, he could tell by her sigh that she couldn't even tell what was up with him. His red eyes narrowed and he moved himself back in his seat, stretching his arms across the chair as a king would his own thrown. Glancing at her, he could see that she was pulling something from her pocket, which seemed to be a few coin pieces.
"Here. You don't have to pay for me handsome."
She was an odd one indeed. One thing was certain though. Based on the way she talked and her reaction to her paying for his drink, he could tell that she was probably not another hunter. Most hunters have a certain attitude about them while she was more calm and a tad bit welcoming. Though, the fact that she looked as she did and was only here for supplies, meant that she was indeed a traveler. One who was used to going into places that she'd never been and even was a tad bit prepared for whatever came her way.
"Excuse me sir. I'm sorry again, but I have already said this isn't a smoking area."
The annoying waiter was back. It was people like him that made his head itch. June scratched his head and sighed. "Hey bud, look at the table. The lady wants to thank you for your service with a tip. You gonna accept it?"
The waiter looked down at the coins on the table and looked at the woman and then June. "Oh. Thank you kindly. You really have made my day sir. You too mam."
After bowing, the man left the area and June gave something of small grin. "People in this city sicken me so. They live their lives in content whether they're Neco or Sapien, while ignoring the lives of others. That man probably never gets tips and has to put his kids through school in this miserable city off the wage they give him here. Hmph."
June wasn't really speaking to anyone, though his words were loud enough for the woman across from him to hear. He stood up from his seat and took a drag of his smoke stick. "I advise you make your supply hunt fast. After tonight, the authorities will be on a hunt for strange looking tourist, such as yourself and I."
With that, June began walking outside to go to the part of town that he needed to be to get his job done. He still had a few hours before it was time for him to collect his head, but preparations would take about an hour anyway. He didn't really pay attention to who was looking at or following him. It didn't really matter at this point. Mostly because he would either get the job done or die trying and that mattered not to him.
