Gain favor? That was certainly a different approach than any of the others had taken. It could, however, be a trick to get close to the Protectors and assassinate them. Kaliska bit down on the inside of her lower lip. Where were these thoughts coming from? Misu were not naturally suspicious people, but perhaps giving the recent events the skeptical emotion could not be helped.

Putting together the pieces of their conversation, Kaliska answered as best she could, "Are the Misu water people?" She stalled again, thinking before continuing, "We use water, yes. It, the river, also the sky showers, are important to our people." The Misu still did not think that is quite the answer Follower was looking for. "The Misu do not live in the water if that is what Follower is asking. We live... with the water."

Kaliska was not happy with that answer either. Conversation would be so much easier if all the others knew the Misu tongue. Maybe the attacks and fighting and erratic behavior would come to an end. If only there were a way to communicate aside from the few Misu who vaguely knew words from the common tongue.

Before she could think any further on what to say or do next, her thoughts were cut off by a new voice filtering in through the rain. Kaliska quickly turned to find the source of the familiar voice, her eyes widened as if she could not believe what she was actually hearing.

"Ambassador!," The excited note in her voice gave away just how happy and perhaps relieved she was to see him, that and the slight fuchsia color that sprang into the tips of her drenched locks. He hadn't left Norline or on his way to Isottina and he appeared to be okay. It took a great deal of self control to keep herself from greeting him with an embrace that matched her elation. Instead she gave him the traditional greeting, though she might have squeezed his arms a bit more tightly than she normally would have.

While there foreheads were still touching, Kaliska looked up at him under wet lashes and smiled, "Kaixo." She then pulled her head away to get a better look at him from arm's length. Her vibrant green eyes swept Ambassador from toe to head. Even from this close, he seemed to be in tact, dirtier and wetter than when he left her, but the same could be said for any Misu at the moment. Other than that, he seemed to be unharmed.

It was only when she was satisfied that he was well did she turn her gaze to the woman beside him who must have been the one he referred to earlier as his family. Kaliska gave her a smile as well as she looked her over with a glance before releasing Ambassador to greet the his kin in the same manner she had him, though not quite as firm as a grip. "Kaixo. Welcome," she added before letting the likely uncomfortable woman go from the embrace.

Follower had seemed to stay quiet during the interaction, Kaliska then looked to the new other. "Follower this is Ambassador and his kin. He is my, a Misu, ally. Ambassador, Kin, this is Follower... An other." On the last word she gave Ambassador a knowing look, suspecting the glance and the note in her voice would speak much and more than the single word.
