Candie stood then and kissed the top of Tansy’s head and she hated how much the kiss felt like they were more like strangers then best friends. It was nearly as bad as loosing Donnie. She hated that they’d let so much shit come between them. They used to be so close, people questioned whether or not they were straight or gay. Now though, they felt like strangers and Tansy knew that it wasn’t because they were, but it was because they were both bitter towards each other for different things no matter how much they tried to pretend they weren’t. It was easy to take all their fucked up issues out on each other, because somehow they knew eventually they’d forgive each other, or at least Tansy liked to think that.
"I love you too babe. And I love Reed too." She whispered, blowing out a breath of smoke as she looked away "I didn't sleep with him to hurt you, I did it because he was the first guy I'd ever slept with where I didn't wake up feeling used. The only reason I didn't tell you was because I was terrified of losing you, but I didn't want to give him up." she breathed and Tansy had known her for far to long, to miss the guilt in her voice. "I guess I just saw how good he was to you after everything that had happened with Collin and wanted some of that. It was selfish and terrible, I know, but whatever I guess." Tansy sighed as she took a drink from her bottle, looking away from her friend hating that they both hated their selves for hurting each other. "I fucked up and It's over now." she shrugged like it was no big deal and Tansy knew better.
They were both in fucked up situations and no matter how hard they tried there was no getting out, for either of them. Even if Tansy went back to Donnie, ran all the way back to the party and kissed him and apologized over and over and promised to never do it again, Collin would still be their taunting her until she broke and it would be a never ending circle of pain until Donnie broke.
It was the same thing for Candie, she wasn’t stupid, she knew her brother was an ass, he’d only got worse handing out with Collin and on a few occasion she’d used his cell phone for whatever reason she’d seen the number of times he’d called Candie and even if Collin and Kaleb weren’t the issue something else would come up. Her and Candie were blessed with good looks and irresistible charm, but in return cursed with shitty luck.
“Your right, it is over.” Tansy said which wasn’t like her, she didn’t admit defeat, yet she was doing it in more ways than one. The pain and exhaustion was clear in her voice, she didn’t just mean their drama was over. She meant her and Donnie were over, she’d give into Collin, and the balance in their world would be back on its axis. She finished off the bottle before setting it up on the bath tub and standing up herself. She grabbed a towel wrapping it around herself. “Let’s go sit on the roof an d get fucked up.” She smirked, stepping out of the tub.
