It wasnt until mid morning that Connor woke up, the sun was already high in the sky, beams of sunlight came through the groups poorly constructed shack. Connor stretched with a low yawn surprised by how late he had awoken, normally he was up at sunrise like the rest if the group. Wiping the sleep out of his eyes reaching up to a post where his pistols were holstered, sliding the worn leather straps over his arms he pulled out one of the Browning's and cleaned a small blemish of the satin chrome slide before doing a quick brass check. Connor pulled his pack to his side and pulled out a pouch of rolling tobacco, food was pretty much nonexistent, normal cigarettes as rare as unicorn crap but rolling tobacco was pretty easy to find around these parts. Connor quickly and expertly rolled the cigarette and lit it up. Connor took a long drag as he pulled himself up the rough wooden wall and out of his sleeping bag.

A low growl from the other side of the shack made Connor freeze, he felt for the knife that was always at his belt as he slowly turned over to where kira and Zach were sleeping. A wolf with mismatched grey fur with impossibly green eyes stood with a low defensive stance over the sleeping figure of Zach. Her front leg was wrapped in a fresh looking bandage and she let out a small yelp of pain as she adjusted her stance. Connor took his hand of his blade and slowly walked towards the wolf. "Hey girl" Connor said in his friendliest voice as he slowly crept towards the animal palms out "if you didn't kill any of us while we slept you can't be that bad" when the pair were only a few inches away the wolf took the last step and sniffed Connor before giving his palm a few licks "see your alright" Connor said as he stroked her neck.

Connor stood up and took a long drag of his cigarette before walking to the coat hanger by the door and taking his signature leather jacket of the hook and throwing it over the red plaid shirt he was wearing. He stepped over Zach's sleeping body and picked up his shotgun giving it a quick once over before slinging it over his shoulder and writing a quick note for the pair "gone hunting, didn't wanna wake you, be back in a few hours. Also when did we get a wolf?" Connor said to himself. Quietly as he scribbled and put it down next to Zach.

"Wanna come hunting girl?" Connor asked the wolf as he pulled on his boots, the animal looked over at kira and Zach and sat down panting quietly "I get it girl" Connor said giving her a last scratch "keep em safe for me" Connor said as he left the cabin
