"Well no. I don't go around telling people off regarding what they believe in. However, as for me, I need to see some sort of evidence first and, from my experience, sometimes, the answer to all these questions seem even stranger than fiction." Shizuka glanced at the time. Seeing that it was almost midnight, she decided to let the two go.
"It's rather late so why don't you two get some sleep. I'll finish up here as well."

Shiori departed for the library the next morning. Before she did, she had a last chat with Shizuka early in the morning before she left, regarding the events last night.
"I checked the footage from that date you reported. So far nothing. No one was spotted in the corridors along those times. I don't know what it is yet but, if it's a human perpetrator, then he's rather crafty."
"...Around that time, what else was going on in this dorm?"
"Well...nothing. It was another lazy day as always."
"Hey, Shizuka? Think what Yuzuki was saying is true? Maybe it's just the ghosts of this place coming back. I mean, this place hasn't exactly had a nice beginning."
"Maybe. Or maybe it's just the place's way of reminding us to never forget. The deaths that occurred here weren't exactly pleasant. But, I think we're only making matters worse by dwelling on this kind of answer. Humans don't immediately turn into nothingness when they die, just as long as people remember them--" Shizuka puts down the file she was reading as her eyes fixed on Shiori. "Like how the smoke doesn't immediately clear when the fire goes out. By remembering them, we invoke such memories into our daily lives, hence why I think whenever something weird happens, people always think it's something supernatural."

Usually, Sundays are the days when the dorms are at it's emptiest. Most have gone home to visit their families and restock on clothes and allowance or, for those who stay behind, they usually head out, not wanting to remain locked in. Shizuka almost memorized each dormer's excursions. The library, a trip to the mall, church, the city skylines...different people in different places. As she bid one dormer farewell, she laid her back down and noted who else remained inside.
"So the only ones inside are me, Shinji, Ulrich-sensei, the Nakahara siblings and Izanagi. Don't they have any plans or something?"
