John tired to focus on the slight breeze passing through the cabin and when that failed he tried focusing on the cabin itself trying to take in each detail of it. Like the sun beams finding their way through each crack, the creak of the broken front door swaying back and forth or how the light made the single boarded up window in the cabin look like prison bars. Each one of these things passed through John's mind where he held it there trying his best to block out the gun sitting on a table between them and what came next.

John had been following Tell for over two years. John had been angry at Tell for most of his life. Not the murder your brother rage but still the kind of angry that led to fights. That what that fight had just been. Teller had told him to say whatever it was he was going to say and John just punched him square in the jaw. Teller's head swung back only slightly then he turned back spit out some blood and tackled his younger brother. During the fight John knew this wasn't about Mary this was about Teller leaving, their father and Jo and Mom. It was them settling some things before it ended for one of them.

Teller coughed awkwardly and said
"You want some coffee? I just made a pot."

John just shook his head yes afraid if he spoke his angry get the best of him and they fight again. Despite John size Teller was the better fighter and John knew he would last another round with him. His brother had broken his nose, rib and his sprain his right hand. He could blame his brother for the broken nose and rib but his right hand...well he can't be angry at man for having a hard head.Teller froze a little when he got up to grab them some coffee glancing between the gun and John. John knew what he was afraid of

" I won't shoot you in the back. I didn't come here to kill you like some coward."
Teller chuckled a little and went to make the coffee.
