As the Pentaghast family descended on the underbelly of the town, a small run down warehouse which housed the homeless, the all sniffed the air and smirked at each other before Nicholas wrapped the door with a gloved hand. A small slit in the door slide across to reveal two piercingly bright eyes, emphasised by the pale skin. "Nicholas," a sultry voice acknowledged before opening the door to reveal a tall woman, hair dark as the night and eyes bright like a beacon. "Right this way." The herder led them into a wide open area of the warehouse, filled with cages and the scent of fear and panic, Louisa letting out a moan of pleasure, fear was her favourite flavour. As the family chose their blood donor, screams disturbed the peacefulness of the quiet harbour.

Jenna was finishing closing up the cafe as they passed her, she could feel their darkness and a shiver passed through her body but she simply continued about her own business, no way was she going to stop them. The town was dark and cold, a slight moisture to the air, teasing the coming rain, Jenna hugged herself and rubbed her forearms as she walked the short distance to her gran's house.
Once inside the house, Jenna heard the light patter of the rain starting, she let out a slight laugh, thanking her luck. "Is that you Jenna?" Betty called down the stairs.
"Yeah," She replied, hanging her coat on the hook and placing her bag underneath. "Everything okay?"
"Of course, just making sure. Can't be too careful these days." Jenna rolled her eyes at her grandmother's statement. "There's tea on the table for you." Jenna walked into the kitchen to see a plate with potatoes, carrots, broccoli and 2 sausages on it.
After finishing dinner, Jenna climbed the stairs and went into her gran's study, she was standing over a map of the town and dangling her birthstone over the map. "Whatcha doing?"
"I can sense another witch in the town, but she's hiding herself."
"Do you think she's dangerous?" Jenna asked, picking up the potion book and flicking through the pages.
"If she wasn't, what reason would she have for cloaking herself?" Jenna looked up to her gran and shrugged. "Exactly." Jenna found the potion not long after.
"Have you tried this?" She lifted the book to show Betty.
"Of course I have, hopefully she senses someone looking for her and comes looking." Betty said, shaking her head as the scry revealed little.
