As he continued to follow the ship, it was all that he paid any attention too. Until he heard a familiar voice coming his way. Blinking with a rather oblivious facial expression, like he had just been taken away from his little day dream, he turned to see Seraphim. Seeing her brought a smile to his face, there weren't many people that Brendan genuinely enjoyed the company of, they either bored him or annoyed him, or sometimes he just didn't like the look of them and felt no need to talk to them. That being said when he was interested in someone he was a nice guy. "Hey Seraphim!" He greeted her with a warm smile. "Of course haha you know me too well." Brendan was a bit more louder compared to Seraphim's rather quiet voice, she seemed much more, elegant to him, which was nice, he found that it added to her beauty. "What about you? What are you doing out here hm? Oh! Did you spot any attractive Pirates or something?" He grinned with a chuckle. Brendan continued to swim in the direction of the ship, then tilted his head to the side, something felt a bit off by the way she was held her spear so closely to her, "hey Seraphim, you alright? Did something happen?" He was being serious now, when it came to his friends he definitely showed a much more caring side compared to his playful ways. "If it was those Pirates I'm sure I can arrange a fun way to give them a run for their money." A most devious smile formed on his face as he had already started to think of ways to scare the crew or make them blame each other for a certain object going missing. What should he do, make them think they're eating maggots? Perhaps give off the illusion of the most fearsome Kraken! Oh the ideas that swam through his mind made him chuckle rather evilly to himself. Like a child about to pull a prank on a sibling.
Brendan was rambling on, he should probably shut up now and give the girl a chance to explain what happened before he- "come on let's go! It'll be fun. I'll make sure they don't do anything to you!" Oh, too late. He was off! Brendan began swimming towards the surface, excited and pumped to have some fun, he hadn't pulled any pranks on people in a while, his current location didn't exactly get too many Mermaids because it was so close to the shore. Brendan's eyes narrowed as his head slowly peered out of the water, the feel of the breeze of the surface was most relaxing, he loved the surface because of how much there was he hadn't seen. An explorer like himself would get bored of the same old Ocean, even if there was a whole heap of it to explore. Only half of his face would be seen on the surface of the water as he looked left and right with shifty eyes, trying to put on the whole, secret agent act on, dramatically sneaking around the ship. Cautiously he approached the ship, until he was just bellow the railing of the large ship before him. He looked up in awe, it was even bigger in person! He hadn't come across many ships as great as this! And he had been on many ships, his stupidity got him captured a lot. But what he was unaware of was the invisible Mermaid above him who watched the pirates closely.
