Maria DeGari was wonderful cook confirmed for the second time with the meal they ate for dinner that night. The pork, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy were so good, and Delmy was grateful to join in their meal. She regret that she couldn't meet Mr. DeGari, but she understood it when parents were too busy with work to join in a meal.
After dinner, the children brought Delmy and Arturo the garden, where they proceeded to chase each other around, laughing and playing. The two young adults observed them for a moment before Delmy got it in her head to revert to her childhood days. Narrowing her eyes playfully, she inched away from Arturo little by little, until she was just out of arms length. With a big smile, she leaned forward just enough and punched him playfully in the arm.
"Tag, you're it!" she shouted, and tore off running through the yard. Stunned for just a moment, Arturo chased after her, and the two engaged in their own game of tag, eventually joining in with the younger ones. Delmy was catching her breath behind a nice little rhododendron when she felt the first droplets of rain hit her face. She poked her head around the bush to find herself face to face with Arturo. Stunned, she drew back quickly, nearly landing on her butt. Grinning sheepishly, she stood back up.
"I think it's about to rain," she said, pointing to the rapidly darkening sky. "We should probably get inside before it-" but just as she was going to finish her sentence, it was like the skies opened up.
