These deep tunnels dug into an active volcano were built by an unknown civilization. Toxic smoke is a constant hazard, and temperatures can reach levels high enough to kill human beings. Hostile ghosts and fire pokemon haunt this place.
Valorie seemed to consider this for a moment. Groudon wanted to travel with her? She could feel the intense heat attacking her strength to fight and Shu was quick warn her that she was running on a matter of minutes to the hour at best. Part of her forever-child-like mind screamed at her to flee, but the vastly more experienced part of her brain told her this was the right thing to do.
Her gaze shifted to Nathan and she seemed to peer up at him. "...Please believe in me Nathan. It means so m-much to me that you've given me a chance..." she replied rather softly, stumbling over her words a little as she lost focus. The moment was ruining her synchronization with Shu and Doublade, neither of which really wanted to partake in it. It was a necessary aside. Sure it was kind of discouraging, having him call her insane, but it was hardly the first time she'd managed to provoke such a response from someone. "I have to do this--But I don't know if I can. If your heart isn't with me..." she went on, drifting off. She delayed only a rather long moment further to see how the other felt, not wishing to keep Groudon waiting.
She turned back to the legendary pokemon.
"Agreed." she replied softly with conviction. Perhaps after this battle she would understand; perhaps she would see what the other saw in her, that which she could only feel distantly in her gut. Well who was she to refuse? In all frankness the idea of getting a chance to hang out with another legendary pokemon was pretty awesome, even to someone as weathered as herself. Valorie steeled herself for the battle, making a hard dive to re-establish synchronization with the two pokemon. She would need it for the fight ahead. "Let us begin!" she announced. Underdog or not, failing to take care not to insult the legendary pokemon with a pre-emptive strike could potentially prove to be a fatal mistake.
The tiny girl began to shift and bounce on her feet, performing a sort of wild and primitive dance that could only be described as intense and a testimant to the value of the shorts hiding underneath her mini skirt. A fiery red aura began to burn about her being, flickering wildly like a flame. It was Swords Dance!
