Reinette moved to lean against the pillows that were behind them. She sighed, causing the Elf to glance to her. She seemed to be in a good mood and DĂșlinnor was glad to see her happy. "I'm glad you're home...," The young girl said, turning to look at him. He allowed himself to watch her calmly. He was well aware that he'd missed Reinette's birthday...again. He felt terrible about it though he suspected that she did not hold it against him. Still, it did not make it any easier. As he gazed at her, he could easily see the small, nearly unnoticeable signs of her aging. It only served to remind him that she was Mortal and in only a short time her life would be over. A pain suddenly went through his heart at the thought of her dying. He was unsure of how he would be able to deal with such a thing.

Suddenly, he felt Reinette's lips on his own. He returned her kiss, his focus moving away from the dark thoughts that had been going through his mind previously. He returned her smile as she began to speak. "I've waited over a year for these and each and every one of them was worth it..." Her words made him happy and he only continued to smile at her. "I am glad to have not disappointed you." He said softly.

The Elf suddenly allowed himself to lean gently against the Mortal girl, allowing his head to rest on her shoulder. He was still exhausted and it was fairly easy to see. He took comfort in her closeness. "I am most glad that you are here with me. I cannot think of another that I would rather have by my side." His voice had gone a bit quieter as he'd allowed his eyes to slide shut. As the poison still ran through his body, he was still unable to keep his eyes open as he attempted to rest. It was odd for him, to not keep his eyes open. He only hoped that soon enough he would be back to normal. He drifted off to a light sleep.

DĂșlinnor was asleep for a good portion of the day. The Healers came in several times checking over the Warden. They did not bother him, deeming it better to allow him to rest up as it would be the easiest way to get the poison to slowly work its way out of his system. Around the time that most of the Elves would be sitting down for the evening meal DĂșlinnor finally awoke again. Though he was at least doing much better than he had the previous two months it was clear that the poison was still trying to do its job.

He slowly moved, sitting up. The first thing he noted was that he had pain in his shoulder. It was throbbing, nearly distracting him. However, he attempted to ignore it and turned his gaze to Reinette. He offered her small smile, trying to hide the pain that he was in. "You could have woken me up." He said. He felt bad about having falling asleep on her. A moment later a Healer entered the room, making the way over to DĂșlinnor. They went about their work as usual. The sling that DĂșlinnor's left arm was in was slowly removed. Then, the dark haired Elf's tunic was opened and then the Healer set about taking care of the wound.

DĂșlinnor tried to keep his face composed, even as shooting pain ripped through his shoulder. Though the Healers were always gentle, it did not help. "After I am done I will fetch you some more elixir." DĂșlinnor said nothing, simply trying to block out the pain. A few moments later and the Elf was finished with their work. DĂșlinnor's tunic was readjusted and the sling placed back where it had been. The male Elf allowed himself to simply rest against the pillows.

He was silent, not trusting himself to speak at the moment. The Healer had returned quickly, a small glass in her hands. Behind her had followed another Elf, carrying a tray of food and drink for both DĂșlinnor and Reinette. The tray was sat down upon the chair that Reinette had been in earlier. The Elf bowed to the young Mortal before leaving. The Healer gave the elixir to DĂșlinnor, asking him to drink it. The male Elf did so, quickly downing the cool liquid.

The Healer took the empty glass and then left the pair alone to eat. Immediately, DĂșlinnor could feel the pain in his shoulder trying to fade. This, he was glad of. His body seemed to finally relax once again. He turned his gaze to Reinette, knowing that she was likely ready to eat. She would have to serve them though he suspected that she already knew that. He waited patiently for her to do so and soon enough they were eating.

While he'd been out, the Healers had made sure that DĂșlinnor had still received nourishment. This would be his first real meal since he'd been injured. He spoke with Reinette as they ate. The Elf ate slower than normal, finding that he did not care for not being able to use his left arm. After he'd finally finished, Reinette as well, DĂșlinnor spoke. "You should return to the flet and get some rest. I would not wish it upon anyone to sleep here unless they had to." He turned his gaze to her, eyeing her.

He did not truly want her to leave though he also wanted her to be comfortable. DĂșlinnor tilted his head slightly as he waited for her to speak. He would not easily allow her to stay. He'd caused her enough pain and he did not intend to that night. "You will do no such thing. Go home, Reinette. I will be here in the morning." He paused again, allowing her to speak once again. Only once she was done did he continue. "Tell me...why are you so insistent to remain here?" He asked her after she'd spoken. He didn't feel like arguing with her. He sighed heavily before finally giving in. "Do as you wish. Though I will not hear it if you cannot move in the morning." He paused, waiting a moment before he continued. "You will sleep up here. I will hear nothing else." He had to admit that he was glad that she was insistent to remain with him. He gently leaned over to her, placing a lingering kiss upon her cheek and then her lower jaw.

He allowed his face to remain close to hers, allowing himself to breathe in her scent. "I am most glad that you are still here..." He said quietly, placing another soft kiss to her skin, this time at the edge of her mouth. "I feared that Galadriel would have found a way for you to return to your world before I was able to make it back to you.." He said honestly. It had been something that he'd feared the entire time he'd been gone. Even Aglaron had known of his fear though had not understood it.
