"Yeah, she told me a little bit about it... I feel terrible. They were just reunited, and now he will have to leave again for only-God-knows how long." Reinette said in answer to DĂșlinnor's question. "It is the first time that we will not be going together. That is why Thurilostel worries so." He explained. "However, things have gotten rather bad in the world and our lands must be protected." He did not like the idea of Aglaron going off without him though he had no choice. Of course, being able to spend time with Reinette was always a good thing.

He went silent, his eyes still closed as he tried to block out the pain. A moment later, Reinette left him. She was not gone long and once she'd arrived again Reinette was wanting to take care of his wound. The Elf opened his eyes, eyeing for only a second before complying. He did as he normally would, removing the sling and his tunic so that she could get to the wound. He, then, turned so that Reinette could get to the wound. They were both quiet during the task and within a few moments Reinette was finishing up. DĂșlinnor was glad to feel that the pain was slowly receding already. He could feel his body beginning to relax.

Only once she was finished did she break their silence. "Aglaron told me that you spoke with Ringil today... What did you speak about?" Her words caused DĂșlinnor to turn so that he could see her. She seemed curious more than anything. He was suddenly smiling at her. "I told her that it was her fault for all of our trouble out on the Border that day. Ringil was not pleased with this. She tried to tell me that you were lying and that she would never act in such a way. I then told her that I knew that you were telling nothing but the truth. It was then that I told her that she is not to go anywhere near you, speak to you..anything, lest I find out. She will not bother you."

It was then that DĂșlinnor slowly pulled his tunic back on and then followed the sling. "If she does, for some reason, bother you, let me know and I will take care of it for good. I would not see you bothered so by someone such as her." He had taken to cupping her cheek as he spoke to her, his gaze held her own. He was still offering her a smile as he watched her. He wished that there was something else that he could do..but really..at the moment that was it. He had to trust that Ringil would heed his words and leave Reinette alone. If she persisted, he would take greater actions in getting her to leave the Mortal alone.

They still needed to eat and DĂșlinnor had a idea. He released her after a few moments, having given her time to speak. He stood, turning and offering Reinette a hand. "I should very much like to teach you how to make my favorite dessert. You will love it." He was smiling at her as he helped her up. He wished to take her mind off of Ringil, to make sure that she knew that he'd only spoken with the other female because it had needed to be done.

He led the way to the kitchen. Though he could only do little with one hand, he could walk Reinette through the steps easily. He allowed her to start on their meal as he slowly began getting the ingredients that would be needed for the dessert. He then got out A bowl so that they could start working on it once Reinette was at a good point in preparing their meal.

DĂșlinnor was patient, speaking with her as she worked. Once she deemed herself ready, DĂșlinnor began to give her instructions. He stood quite close to her, very little space between them. What he was having her make was simply fruit that had been nearly squished down, providing their juices. It was then added to a white batter and swirled. After that, they had to simply allow the dessert to cook long enough for the batter to become fluffy. "Mother does not make this often. She never liked us eating anything that was considered a dessert." He laughed at this.

He was smiling as he'd spent time with her in the kitchen. He enjoyed teaching her things, seeing her happy. The rest of their meal was ready so the Elf decided that it would be fine if they went ahead and ate. The dessert would be ready when they were done. He sat down only after having told Reinette this and their meal began. He complemented her on the food that she'd prepared and thanked her for it. The meal went as usual, DĂșlinnor continuing to speak happily with Reinette.

Slowly, as they finished eating, DĂșlinnor rose from his seat to retrieve their dessert. He walked back to the table, sitting it down in the middle carefully. There was a serving knife already on the table and he allowed Reinette to do the serving. Only once they both had some did DĂșlinnor begin to eat his. The cake was sweet and the hints of warm fruit juice and the small pieces that had been left in the batter only made it that much better.

His gaze had moved to Reinette, wondering if she liked it. He was curious. "What do you think?" He asked her. He waited for her to speak before he smiled at her. "My grandmother would often make it when Aglaron and I would stay with them when we were younger. She is the one that taught me how to make it." He said with a small smile.

They slowly finished the dessert and DĂșlinnor decided to help Reinette to clean up. He moved a bit slower than her, only able to carry one or two things at a time. They eventually finished and the Elf found himself eyeing Reinette. He moved closer to her. He kissed her forehead, as if thanking her for all that she had been doing for him. He allowed his forehead, then, to rest against hers. He wanted nothing more than to lay down to rest but he also wished to spend time with the young woman before him. His gaze was on her, looking down at her as they were close. He decided to remain that way, waiting, their noses nearly touching.
