Bugby listened as the Headmaster spoke and took in his words, feeling partly relieved that he wasn’t going on the mission as he’d probably mess it up, though the thought of doing another challenge wasn’t that thrilling either. Apparently it was a ‘Knock-Down’ game which sounded simple enough, just hit the other two students down with one hit each. He could manage that, right? However the two students were girls and ones he didn’t know really, it was different going against girls he didn’t know as opposed to Cleo, who felt more familiar to him over the progress of the last day or so.
”Hey, looks like if you win you get a reward that you want! You gotta win Buggie,” He heard the feline speak to him just then, as he looked to the cat-girl and gave a sigh in response. ”Besides it’s only girls Bugby, you ain’t gonna let some girlies beat you, eh?” Bugby already looked defeated, however he guessed he’d give it a go and see how he faired. Couldn’t be too hard, right?
”I guess not, anyway I’ll see you later or whenever.” He said and got out of his seat, making his way down the classroom before leaving out the door that lead to the training area. Looking over the grounds he noticed group 4 already with the new boy with the tail who had tripped up earlier. Though shifting his stare he noticed another demon beside a tree. Was that one of his group? Probably, he vaguely remembered the girl from the previous day in class when she had given her name, and possibly ran out the room. With a shrug he made his way over to the tree that she stood beneath, though as to why she’d stand there he grew curious. Others normally stood in the sun, not the shade.
When he reached the tree Bugby stopped just a few paces from the girl, looking to her and tilting his head a little. ”I believe you are part of my group? I’m Bugby.” The boy introduced himself simply, his eyes traveling up and down the girls figure as he studied her a little. She didn’t look overly threatening, at least that was his first impression. Quite pretty too, Bugby actually thought he might win in all honesty though the thought of hurting the girl bothered him just a little, mostly due to his unfamiliarity with her. She was a stranger to him and hadn’t given the boy any reason to seek conflict with her, the demon was quite lost as to what to do with himself just then.
”A-Are you… Etelka? I think that is your name.” He asked softly, shoving his hands into his pockets as he stood. ”May I ask why you opted to stand under this tree?” The shade made things just slightly darker, and the boy wasn’t often in the shade. Perhaps he was just trying to make light conversation, for once. Though things still felt a bit awkward to him.
Laurence just gave Etelka a smile when she explained as he believed the girl and thought no more of it. Simple-mined perhaps, the boy was probably more mature in other areas as appose to some. His attention was quickly taken by the Headmaster as he spoke and explained what would be happening. The young mage was evidently surprised when his name was announced to be part of this supposedly important mission, though what it involved he didn’t know but would be briefed soon enough. Baring a grin the boy sat excitedly, maybe a little eagerly before noticing one of his demons getting up.
”Oh sure Etelka, you can leave. Tell me how you get on with your challenge later, I’d love to hear all about it especially if you win.” He smiled to her and watched the girl leave, before turning his attention over to Venom. His grin grew as he stared to the red-haired girl, before the boy raised his hand up towards her. ”Hey Venom, high-five! We’re part of the mission!” Laurence chuckled and gazed to the demon girl, though really he wasn’t expecting to receive any high-five from her, he didn’t believe that was her style but miracles could happen!
”You excited Venom? Wonder what it’s about, got any ideas? Just think we’re gonna be together on this, doesn’t that sound fun?” Maybe he was teasing her a little, knowing how slightly un-thrilled she was to be around the boy. Not that he minded, he could be a bit annoying sometimes, maybe. Laurence moved more round in his seat as he faced the girl straight on, unwavering his stare at her. ”Wonder what the other people are like who are going with us, maybe we’ll make friends along the way, haha.”
