Victoria adjusted the giant headphones on her ears. She returned their volume after hearing what she felt was necessary from the headmistress. The music's calming noise soothed the fear growing in her gut. After much of the crowd dispersed, Victoria slipped out into the hall. She thought she caught a glimpse of white, but shook her head. The line in front of her moved slowly, until she received her dorm room number.
Oh, wonderful. I'm lucky enough to be pared with a non-human. Why couldn't I have been alone? she thought to herself. Before heading up to the dorms, Victoria thought that it wouldn't be an awful idea to explore the area. She wandered around the campus, but only managed to see a little before hunger pains told her to head to her dorm room. Disappointed and nervous about her future meeting with her new roommate, Victoria headed to the dorm room she had been assigned.
Upon opening the door, she was greeted to the scent of baked goods. She sneezed he foreign smell out of her nose involuntarily, and headed to the refrigerator. Ignoring the tray of sweets, she rummaged about in the fridge, desperately looking for something. Victoria let out a sigh of disappointment. No strawberries. What surprised her most was that she was surprised. She looked over at the tray of sweets. The thought of strawberries being cooked into those treats horrified her. A knock came to the door. As she opened it, she found only a pile of hideous pink luggage, but no person. On each luggage container there was engraved a single word: 'Victoria'. She snarled involuntarily as she hauled each rather heavy case into her assigned room. This had to have been Arthur's doing.
That son of a-, she cursed him under his breath as she piled all of the suitcases into the corner of her bedroom. Over the sound of her headphones, she heard something moving in the other room, suggesting that she wasn't alone. Nervous tension gripped at her insides. She briefly wanted to leap out of the window in order to avoid the awkward conversation that was about to ensue.
