From a root-rung tunnel beneath a thick tree knot emerged Ostri Chromos. His fur pulsed a purple and he flicked his tail cheerily in the change of ambiance from where he just was. Thin wires and metal bits embed in his tail caught the new array of light, bouncing off of the charms to create a kaleidoscope effect. These aesthetics were half the reason Ostri put them there in the first place.

"Hmm," Ostri pondered aloud, looking in either direction down the tree tunnel. Emerald leaves and a rainbow of fruits glowed back at him. It had just rained and everything sort of glistened. What a beautiful time to be alive, thought Ostri to himself as a group of young ratusi in blue hues scurried by, laughing, smearing berry juice on one another.
