The two walked for a while before Sasuke confirmed she was staring. "At least complement me if you're going to stare." he said with a smirk, slowing down so he was beside her.

Once they got back to the training grounds, Gaara noticed there was a small flat of sand, but no gourd.
'...what?' he thought, honestly perplexed. "Be right back." he said and snatched his hand away, jumping off above the trees to look for wherever the hell the heavy sand could have gone. Before his eyes, above the trees, there was a huge bird nest with the gourd in the middle. "Holy shit..." he said absently, he'd never seen birds that big. "Hey Mei." Gaara called down through the trees. "You should uh, come up here." he added, studying the nest. "Maybe the mother thought it was food or something? Sand doesnt taste very good though, how weird she wouldn't have noticed." he sighed. "Or maybe..." he took a closer look at the eggs. The bird eggs were shaped like the gourd, meaning twice as many babies. 'She thought it was an egg.' he confirmed.
