Lina and her sister woke hours before their mother and most of the town had so Lina could give Emily her daily lesson. She'd been secretly teaching her sister believing that she should begin the practice at a young age like Lina had. She had began practicing with Emily for a few months now and already Emily was showing promise of being a very talented witch. When Lina heard faint noises of people waking, including their mother, she began hiding the things they'd been practicing with back in their place seemingly not been touched at all.
Her mother disapproved of not only Emily practicing witchcraft but also Lina. Ever since what happened in Salem her mother forbid her to practice until it had blown over only to find it coming to their town. It scared her mother so much she hid everything associated with witchcraft and for almost a year Lina couldn't find them until Emily began getting curious about it. After Emily found the items they began practicing again.
"Lina!" Her mother called as she entered the barn "There you are, I've been calling you didn't you hear me?"
"Sorry Mama, what did you need?" Lina asked hiding one of the items behind her back. She hadn't had enough time to hide it before her mother found her. "Go to the market and get the things on this list. Hurry back." Her mother said before making her way back to the house without noticing what she was hiding.
"That was close" Lina said turning to her sister and handing her the item "Finish hiding them, make sure to hide them well we don't want people finding them." She ordered Emily before heading off to the market. She looked at the list, it was small compared to most times she sent Lina to the market.
