Seeing Na'ari in such a state moved her. She wondered briefly why it was she was moved. It didn't really matter she supposed as she held the crying man close against her chest. He spoke to her softly about staying by him. She simply nodded remaining beside him until he was calmer.
"Thank you, I'm sorry you had to see me like that. . . But did you come to scold me for my performance on the Silver Moon henchman?" Diana crinkled her brow. What an odd thing to ask of her. Diana wasn't sure why he asked it, but she let her mind go back to the meeting. All she could recall him doing was saving her from that fifth brute. Yes, I came to scold you about saving my life. Silly man. She had actually come for two reasons that seemed to be growing into three reasons. One, she wanted to apologize. Two, she had been concerned. Three, well seeing him vulnerable like this. . . She shook her head and smiled.
"If anyone needs scolding it's me. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about The Shade, just not something I always mention to people. You understand? Besides, I thought you may hate me for it and I'm starting to like you. Can you forgive me?" Once she ended her sentence she emitted a soft cat sound, her hands pressing Na'ari closer against her. Only then did she notice that he was flushed. Taking his face in her soft, furry hands, Diana leaned in, her geode like eyes scanning his face.
"My goodness. . .You're all red." Diana whispered looking him over. Her maternal instincts were shouting for her to kiss him. Darn her species for being so family-inclined. She couldn't fight her own genetics, not even with her strong willpower. "I hope. . . You could also forgive me for this." She closed her eyes and laid her lips upon his gently. After a moment or two of kissing him, Diana pulled away. It wasn't the most passionate kiss, but it was loving. A perk of her species, they were very loving and calming people. Diana was no different.
