Merian laughed at her husband's sudden departure, and sighed as she locked the door behind him. She finished cleaning up the kitchen before going to their room to read a book on the bed for awhile.
Emily found herself sipping on a small plastic tea cup, with her pinky up as her hostess so strongly suggested. They played for what seemed like forever before Emily noticed the adults finally coming out. "I'm sorry to cut our fun, love but I need to go." She smiled to the girl, who nodded happily, and hugged Emily's neck before she stood, and Em couldn't resist the chance, hugging her tightly back.
"Ready?" She asked as she finally parted ways with her new little friend, and looked to Peter, a little happier in that moment.
