It didn't take long for the class president to show up and ruin the fun. Even at her own event, when she probably had a million and one things to be worrying about, she gravitated towards him. The thought of how obsessed she was with him brought a smirk to his face before she excused the two of them from the group of guys and pulled him into a hallway. He pocketed the fifty dollars he had just made as his faze fell upon her exasperated expression. She was getting fired up and he was savoring every little bit of it, including when the patron saint herself cursed! If his smirk could grow any wider, it would have at that last remark. "I don't know if I'm just hallucinating from all of the cheap little street drugs, or what, but did New York's favorite southern belle just curse? At me, of all people?!" He faked an offended expression as his hands clutched his heart. "And here I was, thinking I could come out here to support you and who is it this time? Some hospital for kids with cancer? Or an animal shelter? and this is the warm welcome I get! I'm disappointed in you, Charlotte Buchanan. Especially after you practically begged me to come the other day in your text." He poked her in the shoulder to reciprocate her gesture, and decided against adding in a comment about how he would have poked her in the chest too, but that he didn't want to turn her on any more than his presence alone was clearly doing. A text from Piper diverted his attention from the blonde momentarily. Charlotte was fun to mess with but it was Piper who was going to give him the serious mood-lifter that he needed.
To: Piper
I knew you'd come around xD. Tell her its gonna cost however much ur gonna need for the party.
His smirk returned as he glanced back up at her, now allowing his eyes to obnoxiously rove over her appearance. "Red looks good on you, Buchanan. You should wear a dress like that when I take you out to dinner tomorrow. But for now, why don't you go rake in some more donations for PETA while I rake in some more donations for The Brent Barclay Foundation? Sound like a deal?" He flashed her his best attempt at a charming smile, torn between hurrying away to find Piper without giving her a chance to snap back at him, but also ready to hear the witty remark the blonde was sure to make.
