Blaze had been encased in her own thoughts, her mind devouring facts and trying to make sense of last night's nightmare. She had hardly noticed Echo following her until a crunch gave away the girl's position and Blaze slowed for Echo to catch up, wondering if this was the other female's intention or if it had simply been an accident and she didn't want Blaze's company at all. "Good morning," Blaze spoke cheerfully, the little wings on her back flapping. They did this sometimes reflexively and occasionally, depending on the season, her feathers would malt and she'd find herself engulfed in a flurry of white. Today seemed to be the start of the season and Blaze found herself surrounded by a thick down. She was loosing her winter feathers, which meant her wings would not be as fluffy.
Blaze had heard rumors about Echo, she wasn't sure how old she had been but she remembered the day Echo arrived. Echo was in the trees whereas the rest of the group that had made it were on foot. Blaze remembered thinking that was odd, but she never really gave it another thought since she had come in a similar way, stalking a group. Well, in reality they had tempted her to go with them. Blaze never knew why, maybe they had seen a little girl desperate for help and thought it would be a good to bring her along, maybe they were thinking they could use her for leverage if Intex had ever caught up with them.
Intex, they seemed to rule the world now. Blaze shook her head, no use in dwelling on useless thoughts. She turned towards Echo who seemed to be quietly contemplating something. In the past she had tried to befriend the girl, but her attempts nearly always ended in failure. This only made her try harder though and Blaze believed she was making progress since Echo had walked to catch up with her. "So are you excited for harvesting? I mean, not that there's anything exciting about it, but it's the first marker of spring!" Sometimes Blaze had a tendency to babble and she hoped she wasn't boring Echo.
