"Especially after you practically begged me to come the other day in your text." She fake laughed before beginning to really laugh and moved his finger off of her shoulder. "Please," She moved closer to his face with a smirk on her face and her hands on her hips. "You wish I'd beg you for somethin', anythin'. But, believe you, me that dream still a'int come true, sweetheart. So keep wishin'." She moved back away before someone passed by thinking something else was about to go down between the two, because knowing her luck Victoria would walk by and before she could blink her and Brent would be on that damn gossip site of hers and she didn't have time for people to think she was into, nonetheless dating that jailbird in training. She watched him go on his phone only to check hers to see a text from Rosie saying everything was ready for the video.
When she turned back to Brent who was looking her up and down, she crossed her arms over her chest before breathing out. "What the hell do you have to say now?" She said with a raised eyebrow. "Red looks good on you, Buchanan. You should wear a dress like that when I take you out to dinner tomorrow. She hid a laugh as she covered her mouth and looked down at her heels before looking back at him. "But for now, why don't you go rake in some more donations for PETA while I rake in some more donations for The Brent Barclay Foundation? Sound like a deal?" Okay that was it. He pushed a little too far but, in his defense, the way she took it was probably not what he meant. She took it as it was the dress and her appearance that was raising the money for the foundation. But, did she care if she took it the wrong way? No, not really but she probably could have handled what she did next a... better way to say the least.
She walked faster and grabbed the collar of his black shirt lightly as she pulled him closer. She looked him in the eyes seeing that they were pretty much the same height when she was in heels. "Look, you Walter White in training, I don't need this today and if I see you in here again I will personally destroy you and everything you--.."
"Um... I don't mean to interrupt anything, especially between the world's cutest couple but, Lottie it's time to prepare for your speech. The governor's about to leave in ten minutes and if he leaves, you'll never get that internship and recommendation!" She let go of Brent as Rosie over to the pair and cursed in her head. Was she going to let Brent get in the way of this internship and recommendation letter to show agents on Broadway that she was more than a pretty face and deserved the chance to the lead of a musical during the summer before she left for Harvard? No, she wasn't it. This was big and she could deal with this son of a mother hubbard later."I'll bring your girl back later, Brent. Don't worry you can finish whatever this is after." Rosie said with a smirk as she looked back to her sister who just pointed towards Brent. "This conversation is not over."
"I bet it's not." Rosie said under her breath as Charlotte looked at her and then at Brent and then once more at her sister. "... Never gonna happen. Now, c'mon I got bigger fish to fry." Lottie said as she hurried away with her sister in tow who just looked at Brent with a smirk before looking forward. "C'mon!"
"I comin'! Keep your panties out of a bunch." Rosie said as the twins hurried into the ballroom and backstage to make sure Lottie was ready for her speech. She let the thoughts of Brent float away as she started to read her notecards. "Alright, you got this, sissy! Just your five minute and then say 'And we have a small presentation of how the ALS foundation has helped families all over America.' And then you're done!" Lottie's eyes got big as she ran her hand through her hair. "Oh crap, the video. He's gonna kill me." Rosie shooed off the thought and waved her hand. "You don't have time to worry about it, it's too late. Just focus on your speech, I'll be in the front to cheer you on." Rosie reassured her before walking down the stairs to go back into the ballroom. "'Sides, by the way you two were holdin' on to each other, he would never kill you." Before her sister could say anything Rosie walked out, leaving Lottie to get ready for her small speech.
