To answer his question, Delaney positioned herself under the tree branches. Ezra watched as she twisted send turned them as if they were made of rubber and gracefully hoisted herself up into the tree with ease. He watched and listened to her explanation in awe and a little smile formed on his lips. He didnât know of many people that had abilities aside from himself, Camila, Eric and Eva. Now, however, he imagined that everyone in the mansion had their own tricks. It would be kind of amazing getting to see what everyone is capable of. He watched as Delaney lowered herself off the tree and clapped quietly. âThatâs amazingâ he said as his clapping died down. âI spend a lot of time around plant life. Itâd make my job much easier if I could do thatâ. Ezra thought about his home for a moment. All those fruit orchards and beautiful plants. Delaney would probably have the time of her life if she ever visited. âI told you mine, now you tell me yoursâ. Ezra chuckled a bit and nodded. âFair enough, though Iâm a little shy about it now. Your friend Willow compared me to twilight yesterdayâ. he joked, not really minding the comment at all. He looked up at the sky, a nice clear day, and knew just what to do. He closed his eyes for a moment as the soft glow began to appear around him then looked up at the sky once he was ready. He lifted his hands up and began moving them as if he were rearranging books on a shelf and the cosmics themselves began to rearrange. The sky turned from a soft morning blue to a bright noon, followed by a purple of a late afternoon and finally the deep purple and blue of a star filled night. The stars began to flicker on like lamps until most of the constellations were visible. âCosmic bodies send cosmic energy.â he said with a soft smile, admiring his work. He really did enjoy his gift. He spent hours and hours training on his own, learning what he canât and can do. A little more practice and he will have mastered it to perfection. He slowly began to lower his hands as the sky began to arrange itself, returning back to itâd original morning glow.
Camila could practically feel her face burning up. Ophelia somehow managed to do that without having to use her fire manipulation. Her friend giggled before biting into her breakfast and turned to her asking if she needed to be in school that day. Cami looked at her in confusion for a moment. Sheâd never needed to ask permission from Cami to stay home from school, so why was she asking now? However she thought about it for a moment and finally understood what her friend was asking. Cami slowly shook her head as she looked back at the brunette. âYou can stay here if you wantâ she said, not planning on missing school herself. âAnd if you get any newsâŠâ he voice trailed off as she thought about Talia. Her friend was all alone in some infirmary, not one of the people she cared about around her. âM-maybe I should stay home after allâ. Cami would never suggest such a thing, not unless she were dying, but she was beyond worried about Talia. If something happened with her friend, she wouldnât be there for her. Cami looked at Ophelia as if asking for advice. She didnât know what to do at this point.
Remi watched as Matty messed with his own hair, almost staring. Despite his efforts to avoid the other, Remi found himself liking him more by the second and it was very intimidating. The smaller blonde apologized for running off in the morning and Remi just waved it off. That was probably the best thing that could have happened. âBut next time we sleep together I will make sure to be there for you in the morningâ. Something about that comment gave Remi an odd feeling in his stomach and he was suddenly tempted to just pull the boy off his feet and pull him to his room. Hat scared him a little. âNext time?â he lifted a brow as if he were confused. He planned on following up with a rude comment, but it just wasnât in him this morning. He didnât feel like lying right to the boyâs face. Thankfully, Mathew asked if he wasnât hungry, taking the attention away from the previous subject. Remi shook his head and finished the last of his juice. âMy stomach is in knotsâ he admitted, though at the moment it wasnât entirely because of what was going on with Talia. He looked at the otherâs empty hands then up at his face once again. âWhat about you? You canât fill up on airâ.
