The blonde was sweeping the floor when she was nearly hit by the door. Immediately she turned to back a snarky comment but after seeing it was Alaric, she kept the comment to herself. She gave a soft smile to him when she noticed that he was making sure she didn't get hurt. "Shit, I'm sorry, Ms. Pettigrew. I didn't hit you did I?" he questioned.
Bay just shook her head and spoke, "No, though you nearly did. Did you have a pleasant boat ride?" she questioned hoping to strike up some polite conversation.
Ever since Bay returned from school and found out this man had been a common customer at the Bed and Breakfast, she immediately found herself looming over him. He had great looks, a good personality, and just the sound of her voice makes her just want to melt. Though there was no way in hell she would ever find the nerve to come forth and say those things to the man. It's not like he had any feelings towards her, no one would ever feel that way towards her.
Besides, he probably had other things in his life to worry about than some average woman who owns a bed and breakfast.

Just when he got off the phone he heard the bell at the front desk ring. With a sigh he stood to his feet and plastered the most friendly smile he could manage upon his face. When he stepped behind the desk, he noticed a gorgeous woman standing there. This must be the writer, he thought to himself.
"Good afternoon Ma'am. You must be Emily Dane, right?" he questioned as he unlocked the computer on the desk to check her reservation for which room she had. The woman was definitely gorgeous! There was just no other way to put it.
Ever since he heard that the author was reserving a room in order to get her book finished, he wanted to at least read one of her books. Though since he had all of this nonstop work to get done he never had time to read a book, yet alone get a bit of sleep.
